1.How many children are there in you school ?

200. 99 girls 101 boys.

2.Where do these children come from ?

Nearby slums and economically backward families.

3.Which classes does the school have ?

Classes lower nursery to class v.

4.Where do they go after class v ?

We try and get them admitted in nearby mainstream schools. Some exceptional children are admitted in well recognized schools of Kolkata.

5.Do you have an admission procedure ?

Yes, we give out forms. The admission is based on their neediness. After screening children and guardians they are called for interviews.

We have a minimum age requirement of 4 + for lower Nursery but no upper age limit. Any children willing to study can be admitted in class Lower Nursery.

6.What are your sources of funds to run the school ?

Private donations, combined with some organisational support through family and friends.

7.How can we help ?

You can choose to be a volunteer with your time or services. You can choose to donate to the organisation monetarily or in kind.

8.What can we distribute as gifts to the children?

We accept educational tools such as stationary, water bottles, school bags, puzzles and activity books. You can also get health & hygiene products such as soaps, shampoo, oil, vitamins etc. You could also treat the children with eatables.
